Remembering Carmine Infantino (1925-2013)

With the death of Joe Kubert earlier, Carmine Infantino was arguably the important figure of both the Golden and Silver Ages. In many ways, the clean, dynamic style defined the pre-Fantastic Four Silver Age comic.

Infantino was one of the main artists on the post-war run of Hillman's Airboy. Here's a memorable (if not overly believable) contribution.

Jetta -- teenage sweetheart of the 21st Century

If the art here looks familiar, it should. It was drawn by Dan DeCarlo who was often credited with developing the house style for Archie as well as creating Sabrina and Josie and the Pussycats.
