The Dark Story of Bright Eyes
And I do mean dark.
Jack Cole's art always had its share of disturbing images (his depiction of an eye about to be stabbed by a hypodermic would figure prominently in Seduction of the Innocent), but those were primarily scenes of violence. The focus here is on cruelty, and is, if anything, more troubling.
